Home Again

Nell is home, but we are chastened now by the experience of this week. Everything seems a little bit different; while the house hasn't changed, we have. Sleep is a real need for all of us. Thank you, Lord, for the people of OCPC, for the rest they are giving us for this weekend.
There is a lot to digest right now; it's hard to believe that it's only been two days. It feels like about 10. We thank the Lord for each of you who is with us on this journey. For those who have the urge to call, please resist it. I'm getting bronchitis, and Nell and Martha need to sleep. We appreciate all the concern, but the best way to show it is to just keep praying.
I'll keep you posted in the new year.

  1. 8 hours on I-20 headed west to Big Bend and the New Year's "Pea Off". I know how it sounds, but rest assured that it is all about who can cook the best black-eyed peas in 2009! This is serious stuff in Terlingua, but the best is that all proceeds go to help fund activities at the Terlingua School. Much time to pray, and pray we did...could not get you guys out of our thoughts and prayers, nor did we wish to! This was one of the "long hauls" I spoke of in my last comment. We are there with you. He surrounds us all, we are His, we trust, obey, and pray!

  2. "The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord"
    Psalm 27:1&14
He has always carried you through, Clay even before you knew Him. He is carrying you and your family through this time and it is His strenght that sustains you every moment of the day and through the dark of the night! I continue to pray without ceasing for all of you!
    In Christ's Love,
    Pat
